Qián is great (元), prosperous (亨), beneficial (利), and correct (貞).
Commentary (彖曰): "How great is Qián’s greatness! All things derive their beginning from it. By the virtue of Qián, Heaven is sustained. Clouds move and rain is bestowed, forming all beings. The path of Qián changes and transforms, each thing maintaining its nature and destiny, preserving and harmonizing the great unity, and thus is beneficial and correct. It leads all beings to their emergence, bringing peace to all nations."
